Emily's Lego Friends Birthday Party

Planning this party was an interesting undertaking.  As my daughter has collected more and more Lego Friends sets, we thought it would be a great theme for our daughter who loves her Legos.  When I started planning, I quickly discovered that there is very little Lego Friends merchandise.  That's when I had to get creative and start thinking outside the box.  Here's how I pulled it all together!

Now onto the details...
Straws:
These are Kikkerland paper straws....and I love them.

Party Favors

Earrings:
I custom these earrings from real Legos.  They are 1x1 round plates that I hot glued to earring posts I found at the craft store.

Necklaces:
These darling bottle cap necklaces were loved by the girls.  I created them from necklace sets I bought from BottleCapShack on Etsy.  You can find the images I created here.

Hair clips:
These were another crafting project.  I also bought these clips from a craft store and hot glued Lego flowers on them.  You can find them in my Etsy shop!

Eraser:
I found these in the Easter section at Walmart and the colors matched perfectly.

Bookmarks:
These were a huge hit for the girls.  You can find the printable file for these, here

Food
Pink Lemonade  and Key Lime cookies - I found  box mixes at the grocery store

Lego Bricks:
I bought a silicone Lego mold on Amazon.com for these and used Wilton candy melts which came in colors that were perfect for our party.

 Lego Rice Krispy Treats:
These are store bought Rice Krispy Treats with pastel M&M's glued on with a bit of frosting.

 The CAKE!
I printed out the Friends logo on printer paper.  I placed it under a piece of wax paper, and used melted chocolates in a bag to pipe the word.  I let it harden up a little bit then applied it to the front of the cake.  We used real legos to "write" her name on the top of the cake.

Games
Guess how many Legos are in the jar.

Lego builds:
Each of the girls were given a cello bag Lego Friends set to do at the party.

Lego Tower Race:
How big can you build a Lego tower in 1 minute???

Phew!  I think that's everything!
I hope you enjoy seeing all the details that went into our amazingly fun day!
