I created a party invitation shaped like a barn with door that opened to reveal all the party details.
Our guests were greated with a gingham wreath with burlap bow.
I made this buy tying strips of gingham fabric in knots around a craft wreath.
They were then brought over to get a cowboy hat and bandana
Here's the table set with a red & white outdoor table cover,
a basket lined with blue bandanas and filled with apples, and cow balloons.
The Party Table
We had hamburgers and hotdogs.
And, we served watermelon and corn on the cob on popsicle sticks for easy handling.
The backdrop was "wood" color plastic tablecovers.
Peanut butter & jelly sandwiches were wrapped in wax paper and tied with twine.
Chex mix made great chicken feed for snacking.
Of course, we needed some pitchforks and hankies!
I upcycled Starbucks Frappucino bottles for a drink bottles.
I made little flags to attach to the Kikkerland paper straws and taped cow print paper to the bottles.
We had "farm fresh" milk, lemonade & tea for drinks...
...and well water!
We also had fresh produce for the kids to snack on.
The Dessert Table
Cow Pies
Mini homemade apple pies
The cupcakes!
Each of guests took home a dozen mini-cupcakes in custom 3x4 egg cartons
Farm Goody Bags
To thank all our guests for coming, we had a 'country store' with a selection of goodies. The kids could grab a "thank ewe" bag and fill it with goodies!
Games
Sack races
Bite the donut off the string -- so funny!
And Pin the Tail on the Donkey
